National Oceanography Centre

NOC is one of the World's leading oceanographic institutes and has extensive experience in the use of satellite data for oceanographic research, including the use of altimetry, SAR and Sea Surface Temperature data and calibration/validation and modelling activities for the study of wind and waves. Researchers have developed a range of new algorithms, products and tools, including a wave period parameter and the GAPS collocated altimeter data and associated dissemination system. NOC has been at the forefront of developing interfaces to data sources and information and will build on their existing EU MyOcean project HR-DDS to develop the GlobWave DDS.
