PISTACH is a CNES funded project to develop new standards for the processing of Altimetry data in coastal zones.

The project has assessed the use requirements for coastal applications and is carrying out research into the changes required for processing, additional corrections and calibration needed for a coastal Altimetry product. The project is focused on products from Altimeters on board Jason and Jason-2 and as such is fully complementary to the ESA funded COASTALT initiative, which is focussed on the Envisat data.
