BUOOBS largeThe GlobWave online tool is intended to provide users with some user-friendly means to investigate the content and extent of the various data collected or produced by GlobWave project to assess the quality and accuracy of the satellite measurements, as well as displaying or comparing other potiential sources of wave measurements.

At this stage, it provides access to :

  • in situ buoy data collected from multiple public sources. Access to restricted sources is also permitted to authorized users upon login. Visualisation of public data does not require login. The interface allows to select the relevant buoys with respect to various criteria :
    • date
    • distance to the shore or depth
    • source (based on network or buoy identifier)
    • type of sensor/measurement
  • matchups between satellite and moored buoys. The same selection criteria as above can be used.
